Why do you work? - Wednesday February 9, 2011

     An age old question, with out getting too philosophical often hinges on one word.  MONEY. I don't work for anything but that.  If I stopped getting paid tomorrow that would probably be my last day at my current job.  I understand there are those who are employed in their dream jobs, professional athletes, firemen, policemen, doctors to name a few.  But knowledge dictates that these handful of well paid citizens living their dream does not make up the vast majority of the working populous.
     There are a few problems with this. Living a life that isn't your dream, or your goal often leads to cyclical life patterns, depression and even in some cases alcoholism, or even worse addictions.  So to turn around a cyclical life of ups and downs and indebtedness, we implement change, a catalyst.  It is usually the same reason the vast majority works , MONEY.  Money can be your catalyst.
     Start a business that employs only the greatest ambition and most passionate idea you have, no matter how 'stupid'.  You will realize that doing what you love and getting paid for it is far more rewarding than working to make a paycheck doing something you despise.

How does one accomplish this task:

DON"T BE AFRAID TO STEP OUT OF YOUR RUT, YOUR COMFORT ZONE.  STAND UP AND SAY TODAY I WILL DO IT.....then all you have to do is be true to yourself and be consistently apply these principles.

• Passion - take your passion, whatever it may be and learn the most about it. Cut no corners get down to the heart, or the essence of what you really want to do and where you want to take it.
• Ambition - looking into the future you set your goals and sights on where you want to be in 3 months 6 months and 1 year. 
• Honesty - realize that your new business CAN and WILL succeed through honorable principles, actions and your intentions.  Money made by deceiving and disillusioning people will only destroy and bring more pain.
• Perseverance - Failure + Failure + Failure = Success.  Those who quit, stay in those ruts, that cyclical life.  When asking any billionaire how they succeeded they usually say its because they kept going after they failed.  Even former President Lincoln lost many an election before becoming President, but he never gave up.  You must apply this principle to your life to succeed.
• Capitalistic Approach - after deciding what your most passionate about, apply capitalist principle to your business model and you will be astonished at your success. 

1.  Valuing your time, and using it efficiently and productively.
2.  Using rational thought and thinking logically and objectively
3.  Using money as a tool and not a god.
4.  Organize your life an your business into profitable and effective actions.
5.  Destroy laziness...or it will destroy you, and your new business.
